Caretaker Addresses Concerns Over Giant Panda's Behavior After Departure from South Korea

In an interview conducted by Everland theme park, Kang Cheol-won, a veteran zookeeper known as "panda grandpa," offered reassurances to fans of Fu Bao regarding recent concerns over her behavior.

Kang stated that the giant panda's actions, including rolling around her cage, were not necessarily indicative of health issues.

He attributed such behavior to Fu Bao's desire to connect with her caretakers in China or adjust to her new environment.

Kang, who accompanied Fu Bao on her journey to China, noted her apparent ease and consumption of bamboo during the flight.

The China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda confirmed Fu Bao's safety and good health.

Fu Bao, the first panda born in South Korea, was returned to China as part of an international agreement granting China ownership of nearly all giant pandas.
