In the political arena, the late former President Roh Moo-hyun remains highly regarded, securing 31% of the votes to lead the list of favorite presidents. He was followed by Park Chung-hee with 24% and Kim Dae-jung with 15%.
Adm. Yi Sun-shin from the Joseon era continues to hold the top spot as the most admired figure with 14% of the votes, followed by King Sejong with 10%.
In the entrepreneur category, Chung Ju-yung, the late founder of Hyundai Group, narrowly edged out Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong with 22% and 21% of the votes, respectively.
The favorite novelist category showed diverse preferences, with Pak Kyongni leading at 6%, followed closely by Lee Oi-soo at 4.9%, Jo Jeong-rae at 3.8%, and Gong Ji-young at 3.7%.
These survey results, conducted with 1,777 respondents aged 13 and above in March and April, reflect the diverse interests and opinions of South Koreans across various cultural and societal aspects.
