Fu Bao, the beloved giant panda in South Korea, will be available for public viewing at Everland until March 3, as announced by the amusement park on Monday.
Following this, Fu Bao will be relocated to a separate area within the park's Panda World for one month to undergo preparations for her transfer to the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Sichuan Province, scheduled for early April.

As the first giant panda born in South Korea, Fu Bao is set to return to China under the international agreement governing the conservation of endangered species. China, the endemic home of giant pandas, operates a policy since the 1980s allowing the loan of pandas to zoos in other countries for a fee.
Fu Bao, born in July 2020, is to return to China before reaching the age of four, the maturity age for giant pandas. Her parents, Ai Bao and Le Bao, arrived in South Korea in 2016 under a 15-year contract.

Ahead of Fu Bao's departure, Everland plans to extend public viewing hours at the Panda World from March 1 to 3, allowing visitors to see her throughout the day, whereas previously she was only visible in the afternoons.
