K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has secured the top spot on Japan's Oricon weekly albums chart with their third full-length album, "The Name Chapter: Freefall." Released on Friday, the album garnered approximately 225,000 copies in sales by Monday, leading to its immediate placement at the pinnacle of Oricon's weekly albums chart.

This marks the band's third album to achieve No. 1 status on the chart in 2021, following their EP "The Name Chapter: Temptation" and their second Japanese full-length album "Sweet." Oricon noted that Tomorrow X Together is the sole artist to have three chart-topping albums this year.

TXT holds the record for the most consecutive No. 1 placements on the chart as a foreign artist, surpassing BTS, Enhypen, and Seventeen.

Debuting in 2019 under BigHit Music, Tomorrow X Together is recognized for their "storytelling" albums and comprises five members: Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai. The group made their Japanese debut with the single "Magic Hour" in January 2020, less than a year after their Korean debut.

In a recent event, the band hosted a comeback show on Saturday, streamed live on Weverse.
