YG Plus, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment, has announced the launch of an art label called Peeces, which will specialize in managing artists outside of the K-pop genre.
The newly-founded art label aims to apply the management methods used for K-pop stars to art creators, seeking to bring art closer to the public in their daily lives.
Peeces derives its name from "pieces" and "peace," symbolizing the company's mission to promote peace through art, according to YG Plus.

The company stated in a press release that while the domestic art market has surpassed 1 trillion won in trade volume, there remains a high psychological barrier for the general public.
Peeces aims to break down genre boundaries and enter the art market with an artist management system. Drawing inspiration from the global success of K-pop, the company hopes to pioneer a new era of Korean art.
An inaugural exhibition titled "House of Taste" is scheduled to take place from February 23 to March 5 in Itaewon, Yongsan District, central Seoul.
