Karina, a member of the popular K-pop group aespa, issued a public apology to her fans through a handwritten letter posted on her Instagram account. The artist acknowledged surprising MY fandom with the revelation of her relationship with actor Lee Jae-wook and expressed regret for any disappointment caused.

In the letter posted on Tuesday, Karina explained that she took time to disclose her dating status with actor Lee Jae-wook to the fans as she wanted to approach the matter with caution. She expressed understanding towards MYs who may feel let down, referencing the shared history between the artist and her supporters.

The confirmation of Karina's relationship with Lee Jae-wook came on Feb. 27 through a local news report, with both agencies, SM Entertainment and CJeS Studio, affirming that the two are "getting to know each other."

Karina, in her apology, acknowledged the potential impact of her message on fans but emphasized her sincerity in addressing those who have supported her since her debut. She pledged not to disappoint her fans in the future and expressed a commitment to showcasing a more mature and hardworking version of herself.

The news of Karina's relationship sparked some disappointment among fans, with concerns raised about her focus on her role as the leader of aespa. The group is gearing up for a comeback this year, featuring a new release and a world tour scheduled for June.
