Interior Designer from Pornic to Showcase Innovative Space-Planning Method at Nantes Home and Garden Show

Floriane Vrebos, an interior designer from Pornic in Loire-Atlantique, will present her innovative "Pushing the Walls" methodology at the upcoming Nantes Habitat Déco Show, scheduled from Friday, November 7 to Sunday, November 9, 2025. As the winner of the "Building the Future of Housing" project call organized as part of the show, Vrebos was selected by the jury for her approach that is described as innovative, playful, and participatory, designed to enable clients to create floor plans that truly reflect their personalities.

The methodology emerges at a time when economic, social, and ecological constraints are pushing everyone to reduce their spatial footprint. Vrebos's approach aims to be groundbreaking by "pushing the walls of preconceived ideas" about interior design and transforming the way the profession is practiced. The method guides clients step by step through their thought processes to achieve results that genuinely represent them, while simplifying the process to make this type of thinking accessible to everyone and help identify real needs.

"I love challenges and I love bringing out the idea that surprises, the one we hadn't considered, and which turns out to be exactly what was needed," explains Floriane. "What really drives me is making interior design accessible to everyone so that each person can improve their interior without wasting money and avoid costly mistakes." This philosophy reflects her commitment to democratizing professional design services and making them available to broader audiences regardless of budget constraints.

To enable everyone to realize their projects, regardless of their needs, lifestyle, and budget, Vrebos offers several support options, including individual consultations and group workshops. These various formats are designed to identify real needs with complete accuracy and thoroughness. She recalls one particularly memorable intervention where a couple had split up to work in two different workshops: "The husband was taking care of the living room, while the wife focused on another part of the house. She wanted a mini-laundry room for a washing machine and dryer. But the husband had forgotten to mention the dog's basket, which the wife immediately noticed, though she herself hadn't thought to ask for a countertop with a sink for the laundry room. Fortunately, everything worked out well. The wife, who was despairing that everything would never fit, finally declared that the most beautiful room in the house was going to be the laundry room!"

Vrebos established herself in the Pays de Retz region about twenty years ago as a salaried management assistant, then permanently settled in Pornic. She created her business in May 2025 after completing two years of interior design training at Home School, a specialized institution focused on space optimization that places humans at the heart of every project. Her career transformation was inspired by a pivotal experience: "For me, who dreamed of living in a tiny house and who lives (and finds myself quite comfortable) with two children in a 29-square-meter space, the trip I took to Japan in 2020, a country where inhabitants live in very small spaces, provided the trigger that determined my career change. What if this was the solution? Less surface area, but more life?"

At the intersection of creativity, inclusion, and conscious simplicity, this original concept invites people to rethink tomorrow's housing and opens doors for everyone – including families in transition and renters – to solutions that allow them to reorganize their living spaces in concrete and practical ways without construction work and without stress. As a promoter of accessible, sustainable, and more responsible housing, the methodology also emphasizes renovation, reuse, and reduction of surface areas. Before moving toward custom furniture or elements, the concept also seeks to utilize standard products that meet specific needs.

Regarding adaptations for people with reduced mobility and various forms of inclusion, Floriane works in partnership with professionals in the relevant fields. This collaborative approach ensures that accessibility considerations are properly integrated into her design solutions while maintaining the core philosophy of making interior design available to all.

At the Habitat Déco Show booth provided for her use, visitors will be able to discover the methodology, test the planning kits, and benefit from a 30-minute express coaching session to resolve a space-related problem. The featured presenter will also showcase her group workshops, which are more affordable and where each participant learns to optimize their interior and leaves with personalized ideas and at least one planning solution in the form of a 2D plan. The Habitat Déco Show will take place at the Nantes Exhibition Center, with Vrebos located at Stand C447 in the Grand Palais Level 2. Reservations for both salon and off-site consultations, as well as additional information, are available through her website or by telephone at 07 59 67 76 31.
