최근들어 드라마 “우리들의 블루스”의 정은혜 작가의 시작으로 발달장애인 작가들에게 관심이 많이 쏠리고 있는데요, 하지만 이보다 훨씬 오래 전 부터 이들을 빛내기 위해 노력한 곳이 있었습니다.
From the beginning of artist Jung Eun-hye, who recently appeared in the drama “Our Blues”, there has been a great deal of attention paid to artists who have developmental disabilities. However there is a place where they have been trying to be recognized for much longer.
바로 비채아트뮤지엄 입니다. ACEP 한.EU 발달장애 아티스트 한국특별전을 포함해서 여러 번의 발달장애인작가들의 전시를 진행하며 선한 영향력을 펼치고 있는데요, 이번에는 비채아트뮤지엄에서 발달장애작가와 이들을 응원하는 기성 화가가 대등한 눈높이에서 협업 할 수 있는 전시를 주최합니다.
Which is Vichaeart Museum. It had a positive impact through hosting a number of exhibitions with artists with developmental disablities, including a ACEP Korea, Europe Special Exhibition. Vichaeart Museum hosts an exhibition where artists with developmental disabilities and established artists who support them can work together on an equal level this time.
이렇게 시작한 협업은 11월 초에 열렸던 싱가포르 마리나베이샌즈 엑스포 컨벤션센터 열렸던 제2회 글로벌 아트 페어 싱가포르에서도 진행 된 바 가 있습니다. 국내에서는 11월 17일 부터 27일까지 예술의 전당 디자인 미술관에서 열리게 됩니다. 전시제목은 ‘상상을 깨우다 -Dreamability 이며 기성화가 5명의 작품 15점과 발달장애 작가 80명의 117점으로 대규모로 진행 될 예정입니다. 대규모로 진행되는 만큼 발달장애 작가의 작품의 예술적 가치를 인정받는 계기가 될 것으로 보입니다.
The collaboration was carried out at the 2nd Global Art Fair in Singapore as well. It was held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo Convention Center in Singapore in early November.
In Korea, it will be held at the Design Museum of the Seoul Arts Center from Nov 17 to Nov 27. The exhibition, titled “Dreamability" will be conducted on a grand scale and feature 117works by 80 artists with developmental disabilities in addition to 15 works by five established artists. Since the exhibition is being held on a large scale, it is anticipated to provide an opportunity to recognize the artistic value of the works of artists with developmental disabilities.
기성작가 중 에서는 박행보 작가, 김인작가, 이재옥 작가 그리고 조각가 이기원 등이 참여합니다. 발달장애 작가로는 권한솔작가 공윤성작가 등이 참여합니다. 전수미 비채아트뮤지엄관장은"싱가포르 아트페어와 '상상을 깨우다-전' 한번 만으로 장애인 화가와 비장애인 화가 사이의 벽을 다 깨트릴 수 있다고 보지는 않는다. 하지만 이런 노력이 쌓이면 '발달장애 아티스트' 라는 말은 없어지고 그냥 작가로서 전시하고 그림을 판매하는 날이 올 것"이라고 말했습니다.
Among the established artists, Haeng-bo Park, In Kim, Jae-Ok Lee, and sculptor Gi-won Lee and more are participating. As artists with developmental disabilities, Han-sol Kwon, Yun-seong Gong and others are participating.
"I don't think that the Singapore Art Fair and the "Dreamability" exhibition alone will be able to break down the barrier between disabled and non-disabled artists. but If these efforts accumulate, one day, the term 'artists with developmental disabilities' will disappear. they will simply be able to work as an "artist" exhibit their work, and sell paintings." said Soo-mi Jeon, director of Vichaeart Museum.
