Founded in 1981, Fantasporto specializes in horror, thriller, and science fiction films, ranking among the top three fantasy genre film festivals worldwide.

Additionally, the film earned the Scenario Prize at this year’s Mons International Film Festival, which took place from March 8 to 16 in Mons, Belgium. Festival general delegate Maxime Dieu commended the film for its exploration of morality and family values.

Based on the bestselling novel "The Dinner" by Dutch author Herman Koch, "A Normal Family" follows the story of a successful lawyer, Jae-wan (Sul Kyung-gu), who defends a wealthy executive's son accused of manslaughter. His younger brother, Jae-kyu (Jang Dong-gun), a pediatrician, faces his own moral challenges.

The film, slated for release in local theaters later this year, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023. Since then, it has been showcased at various film festivals worldwide, including Filmfest DC and the Miami Film Festival in the U.S., as well as Switzerland’s Fribourg International Film Festival. It is set to compete at the upcoming Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy.
