Seventeen Surprises Fans with Release of "God of Light Music" Trot Song

The 13-Member K-pop Act Responds to Fan Requests by Officially Releasing Previously Promotional Content

In a surprising move, K-pop sensation Seventeen is set to release a trot song titled "God of Light Music" on Tuesday, responding to fervent requests from fans. Originally created as promotional content for the band's 11th EP, "Seventeen's Heaven," the single gained popularity through the group's documentary featured on their YouTube show, "Going Seventeen," prompting fans to urge for an official release, as reported by agency Pledis Entertainment.

Alongside the title track, a Korean trot version of "God of Music," the focus track from the 11th EP, has also been released.

The 11th EP, released in October, made history in the K-pop world by selling over 5 million copies in its first week, marking a unprecedented achievement. On the day of its release, the mini album logged 3 million copies, further emphasizing its immense popularity. Notably, it secured the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 and maintained a presence on the main albums chart for five consecutive weeks.
