As of last week, Jungkook, a member of the globally acclaimed K-pop group BTS, has achieved remarkable success with his debut solo album, "Golden," selling over 2.5 million copies according to a local tally.
Notably, "Golden" holds the distinction of being the first solo album to surpass the 2.5 million mark since the Hanteo chart reorganized its methodology in 2010. The album made an impressive debut by selling 1 million units within three hours of its release, ultimately reaching 2.43 million in its first week. These sales figures set new records for a K-pop solo artist.

The focus track of the album, "Standing Next To You," made an impressive debut on the Billboard Hot 100, claiming the No. 5 spot. Notably, Jungkook became the first-ever K-pop solo artist to have four songs simultaneously charting on the Hot 100. The widespread success of his music underscores the global influence of K-pop.
In a separate engagement, the accomplished artist hosted a fan showcase in Seoul on Monday, further connecting with his dedicated fanbase.
