"Batter Up" Music Video Surpasses 22.59 Million Views in 24 Hours

YG Entertainment's latest girl group, BabyMonster, achieved a notable milestone by securing the highest number of views on YouTube within 24 hours for a K-pop group's debut music video, as announced by the agency on Tuesday.

The music video for their debut single, "Batter Up," garnered an impressive 22.59 million views on YouTube on Monday, marking a record-breaking debut for the group. The video also claimed the top spot on music video charts on international streaming platforms such as Japan's Line Music and China's QQ Music.

BabyMonster, consisting of six members named Ruka, Chiquita, Rami, Pharita, Rora, and Asa, is the first new girl group from YG Entertainment in seven years since the debut of Blackpink. The introduction of the six members was initially showcased on YG Entertainment's YouTube series titled "Last Evaluation."

Initially planned as a seven-member group with the inclusion of artist Ahyeon, YG Entertainment announced Ahyeon's withdrawal from the group on November 15 due to health issues. The agency officially confirmed the group's composition as six members on Thursday.
