Fresh interior renderings have been released for 220 East 9th Street, a six-story residential building that has recently reached its maximum height in Manhattan's vibrant East Village neighborhood. The 74-foot-tall luxury development is being designed and developed by Arcus Development, with Colberg Architecture serving as the executive architect for the ambitious project.

The sophisticated building will feature 18 condominium units, each averaging an impressive 1,735 square feet of living space. The innovative project involves the partial demolition and conversion of an existing five-story parking garage, transforming it into a modern residential complex. Additional features will include a cellar level for storage and utilities, a spacious 22-foot-long rear yard for residents' enjoyment, and enclosed parking facilities accommodating ten vehicles. Astor Nine LLC is the official owner of the property, which sits strategically between Second and Third Avenues.

The newly revealed interior renderings, created by design firm Plomp, showcase a variety of open-concept kitchen, living room, and bedroom layouts that emphasize modern luxury living. These detailed visualizations demonstrate the seamless flow between spaces, highlighting the contemporary design aesthetic that will define each residence. The renderings reveal sophisticated living areas with expansive windows, elegant kitchens with premium finishes, and comfortable bedroom spaces designed for urban professionals.

Earlier exterior renderings released this year provide insight into the building's striking architectural features, including an intricate red brick masonry façade and distinctive recessed industrial-style windows. The top floor has been thoughtfully set back from the street and features unique sloped walls on both the eastern and western ends of the building. The entire structure is envisioned as being covered with abundant climbing vegetation, creating a green oasis in the urban landscape. Additional preview images showcase the street-level private parking garage entrance positioned along the eastern corner of the ground floor, as well as beautifully landscaped terrace spaces.

Prospective residents will have their choice of one- to four-bedroom layouts, each featuring a distinct floor plan designed for modern living. Premium finishes throughout each unit will include board-formed concrete ceilings, custom oak kitchens crafted with attention to detail, and handcrafted finishes using high-quality American-made materials. Seven of the homes, including three exclusive penthouses, will boast private outdoor terraces offering residents personal outdoor retreat spaces in the heart of the city.

The sales and marketing efforts for the property will be handled by an experienced team consisting of Clayton Orrigo, Ian Lefkowitz, and Stephen Ferrara of The Hudson Advisory Team at Compass. These real estate professionals will guide potential buyers through the purchasing process and provide detailed information about available units and pricing.

Residents of 220 East 9th Street will enjoy an impressive array of amenities designed to enhance their lifestyle. The building will feature a 24-hour attended lobby providing security and concierge services, a fully equipped fitness center complete with a dedicated pilates studio, a relaxing sauna for wellness and recovery, a convenient pet grooming station for four-legged residents, and a tranquil Japanese-style viewing garden offering a peaceful escape from city life.

The development benefits from excellent transportation connectivity, with the nearest subway access being the local 6 train at Astor Place station, located conveniently to the west of the building. This prime location provides easy access to other parts of Manhattan and the greater New York City area.

According to information posted at the construction site, 220 East 9th Street is expected to reach completion during the winter of 2026. This timeline allows for the careful attention to detail and quality construction that will make this development a standout addition to the East Village's residential landscape.
