IVE member Jang Won Young is set to make an appearance at the international gaming expo G-Star 2024, currently taking place at BEXCO’s second exhibition hall in Haeundae, Busan. Qiddiya Gaming announced on November 15 that Jang would visit their booth on the 16th to explore the Qiddiya project, a massive entertainment city initiative spearheaded by Saudi Arabia.
Invited by the Saudi delegation, Jang Won Young will experience the immersive offerings at the Qiddiya booth, where she will get hands-on with a shooting game demo. Saudi Arabia has been promoting its ambitious Qiddiya project on the global stage, showcasing it at major events such as Gamescom in Germany and the Tokyo Game Show in Japan. At G-Star 2024, the Qiddiya Gaming division aims to present the vision for its upcoming gaming district and enhance public interest in its plans.
One of the main highlights at the Qiddiya booth will be Outpost Omega, an immersive first-person shooter (FPS) game developed to provide visitors with an engaging experience. The event will offer attendees the chance to explore Outpost Omega's storyline and gameplay for the first time, offering a glimpse into the cutting-edge FPS environments being planned for the entertainment city.
Jang Won Young’s appearance at G-Star 2024 reflects the growing interest of Korean pop culture figures in global events that go beyond music. Her presence at the Qiddiya booth is expected to attract considerable attention, helping to bridge entertainment and gaming fans alike. Qiddiya Gaming's participation at G-Star also signifies Saudi Arabia's commitment to becoming a significant player in the global gaming and entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, IVE, the group to which Jang Won Young belongs, recently released Supernova Love, a collaborative track with world-renowned DJ David Guetta. The song has been received positively, expanding IVE’s presence on the international music scene.
As the G-Star 2024 event unfolds, Jang’s participation adds an intriguing layer to the intersection between K-pop and the gaming industry, highlighting the collaborative potential between the two cultural powerhouses.
