A striking new architectural project has emerged in Kvareli, Georgia, designed by David Giorgadze Architects. The Reception Pavilion, completed in 2025, represents an innovative approach to hospitality architecture with its unique conceptual framework and design philosophy.
The 281-square-meter structure is conceived as an "imaginary purgatory" - serving as a transitional passage from the polluted urban environment into a landscape of ecological clarity. This philosophical approach to architecture reflects the growing trend of environmentally conscious design in contemporary building projects.
The pavilion's design embodies both grounded and imaginative elements, described by the architects as "kinetic: a tectonic circle in motion, where nature enters from every side and the visitor becomes part of it." This concept emphasizes the integration of natural elements throughout the structure, creating an immersive experience for visitors.
The project was led by George Giorgadze, with structural engineering provided by KonStudio and MEP consulting handled by Darejan Beshkenadze. The construction incorporates products from several manufacturers, including GRAPHISOFT, Midea, and Villeroy & Boch, demonstrating a careful selection of materials and systems.
