Asia's First Immersive Multimedia Exhibition Showcases the Masterpieces of Alphonse Mucha

Alphonse Mucha, whose legacy spans from July 24, 1860, to July 14, 1939, is renowned across the globe as a virtuoso painter and decorative artist, emblematic of the illustrious Art Nouveau movement. This multimedia spectacle, the brainchild of musicians Michal Dvořák and Alphonse Mucha, is an unprecedented fusion of artistic prowess, offering attendees a dual feast for their senses—a mesmerizing 360-degree projection of media art, harmoniously choreographed with the resonance of a live orchestra, coupled with a captivating original painting exhibition.

Enthusiasts of Mucha's art are beckoned to explore six meticulously curated episodes, each shedding light on crucial junctures and iconic creations from the life of Alphonse Mucha. The essence of the enchanting Art Nouveau style is brilliantly encapsulated, while the exhibition boldly introduces lesser-known gems like "The Great Slavic Epic," affording visitors the opportunity to traverse Mucha's artistic evolution, all while being serenaded by the strains of a live symphony orchestra.

Central to this artistic odyssey are the masterpieces that have become synonymous with Mucha's name: 'Gismonda', 'The Lovers', 'The Four Seasons', 'The Four Arts', 'The Four Jewels', and 'Monaco Monte-Carlo'. Steering the creative helm of "Alphonse Mucha eMOTION in SEOUL," Michal Dvořák stands as a luminary in his own right—a producer, composer, film and stage score writer, and a distinguished member of the celebrated group Lucie—undoubtedly one of the prodigious musical talents of the 21st century.

Hall 1, "Alphonse Mucha's Life and the Elegance of Art Nouveau Works"
Delve into Mucha's journey, intricately intertwined with the resplendence of the Art Nouveau movement. The hall serves as a poignant chronicle, encapsulating Mucha's life, interspersed with his seminal Art Nouveau creations.

Hall 2, "A Multimedia Symphony of Eras"

Prologue/Epilogue: Embark on a visual journey through Mucha's creative process, as sketches come to life in a captivating dance of colors and lines.

A Walk in Paris: Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of 19th century Paris, adorned with Mucha's iconic works, accompanied by the mellifluous melodies of chanson music.

 

Art Nouveau Garden: Wander through a dreamscape adorned with Mucha's idealized women, entwined with elements of nature like ivy, blossoms, and constellations.

"Digitalized Hall", Hall 3: Immerse yourself in Mucha's kaleidoscopic poster works, a testament to his mastery in the realm of outdoor advertising.

"The Slav Epic Hall", Hall 4: Embark on an awe-inspiring journey through history as Mucha's monumental Slavic Epic unfurls before your eyes. Characters and tales come alive on a colossal canvas, a testament to Mucha's reverence for Slavic heritage.

Kyung-don Lee, CEO of the Seoul Design Foundation, remarks, "Alphonse Mucha's works stir a wellspring of inspiration for designers. Through this digital media tapestry, citizens are invited to traverse the splendor and grandeur of Czech Republic's narrative, akin to a cinematic odyssey." The exhibition, a ticketed affair, beckons enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the world of Mucha until October 30.
