Scheduled for release on Tuesday, "Colours" features six songs spanning genres such as house, R&B, folk, blues, and rock. Solar aims to establish herself as a singer capable of diverse musical expressions.

The lead single, "But I," co-written by Solar, blends R&B and rock, marking her first venture into the rock genre. She also learned a Vogue dance for the track "Colors" and engaged in horseback riding and eagle communing for filming in Mongolia.

Solar, who made her solo debut in 2020 with "Spit It Out," reflects on her decade with Mamamoo as a nurturing experience for her solo career. Despite her numerous challenges, she remains open to new opportunities for growth and innovation on stage.
