K-pop artist Solar, leader of the girl group Mamamoo, discussed her journey towards embracing her versatility during a recent interview at RBW's headquarters in eastern Seoul.
The singer revealed that she once struggled with doubts about her multifaceted abilities, feeling envious of artists with more clearly defined labels. However, the creative process for her upcoming EP, titled "Colours," led to a personal breakthrough, reshaping her self-perception.

The lead single, "But I," co-written by Solar, blends R&B and rock, marking her first venture into the rock genre. She also learned a Vogue dance for the track "Colors" and engaged in horseback riding and eagle communing for filming in Mongolia.
Solar, who made her solo debut in 2020 with "Spit It Out," reflects on her decade with Mamamoo as a nurturing experience for her solo career. Despite her numerous challenges, she remains open to new opportunities for growth and innovation on stage.
