G-Dragon is set to make a long-awaited return to the stage with his first solo concert in eight years, launching the highly anticipated world tour [Weverse] in Korea. The event will take place on March 29 and 30 at Goyang Sports Complex, marking the beginning of what is expected to be another record-breaking global tour. The Korean leg of the tour will be presented in collaboration with Coupang Play as its official partner.
This tour comes after G-Dragon’s 2017 ACT III: M.O.T.T.E world tour, which spanned 36 shows and drew a total audience of approximately 650,000 fans, setting a record as the largest solo world tour by a K-pop artist at the time. Given his past success, industry insiders predict that the upcoming tour may once again push the boundaries of K-pop’s global reach.
Fans can expect an impressive setlist featuring new songs, including pre-release tracks Home Sweet Home and Power, along with Too Bad, Drama, Take Me, Bonamana (BONAMANA), and Gyro Drop. These performances will showcase G-Dragon’s artistic evolution and reinforce his reputation as a trendsetter in both music and stage production.
Coupang Play expressed its enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to bring G-Dragon’s long-awaited world tour kickoff concert to fans in Korea. This marks the beginning of a series of high-quality entertainment offerings across music, live performances, and sports."
Ticket sales will open on February 26 at 8 PM KST for fan club pre-sales, followed by general ticketing on February 27 at 8 PM KST. Domestic tickets will be available exclusively through the Coupang Play mobile app.
With expectations running high, G-Dragon’s [Weverse] in Korea is poised to set the tone for what promises to be one of the biggest K-pop tours of the year.
