SEOUL — All seven members of global K-pop sensation BTS are set to reunite this month for one of the most anticipated moments in K-pop, as the group celebrates the 12th anniversary of its debut on Friday.
BTS’s label, Bighit Music, is marking the milestone by adorning the HYBE headquarters in Yongsan District, central Seoul, with the official BTS and ARMY logos and the slogan “We Are Back.”
This year’s celebration carries extra significance, as all seven members are set to complete their mandatory military service. RM and V will be discharged on Tuesday, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on Wednesday. Suga is scheduled to complete his service on June 21. Jin and J-Hope, who completed their service earlier in 2024, have remained active with solo activities.
The annual BTS Festa, a fan-favorite celebration event, will take place this Friday and Saturday at Kintex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The event will feature an exhibition of the band’s awards, voice messages from the members, and a light show. A photo zone will be available at nearby Ilsan Lake Park, and local city governments are joining the festivities by hanging celebratory banners.
Previous years’ slogans displayed at HYBE’s headquarters included “BTS Presents Everywhere” in 2023 and “Army Forever BTS Forever” in 2024.
