The newly established Billboard Korea is poised to be a platform promoting K-pop on a global scale, acting as a conduit between Korean readers and global entertainment news. The publication plans to extend its coverage beyond music, including aspects of K-culture such as K-fashion, K-beauty, and K-food.

Yuna Kim, the publisher of Billboard Korea, expressed the publication's mission to serve as an ambassador for K-culture, leveraging the elevated status of K-artists and K-pop on the global stage.

Billboard president Mike Van highlighted the significance of this expansion, stating, "Billboard has long celebrated the rich contribution of Korean music across our platforms. This expansion is a significant milestone for our brand and underscores our dedication to amplifying the voices and talent that shape the vibrant Korean music scene."

Billboard Korea is set to launch its official website and digital platform in April, leading up to its official debut.
