Neowiz's Lies of P RPG Achieves 1 Million Global Sales Within a Month of Release

Lies of P, a dark fantasy RPG inspired by "Pinocchio," attains commercial success with over a million units sold globally

Neowiz, a leading game publisher, reported that Lies of P, a role-playing game (RPG) available on PC and consoles, achieved a milestone of 1 million units sold worldwide within a month of its release. The sales encompass both digital purchases and console packages, covering platforms like Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox Series X and S. The game has garnered an impressive 89 percent positive review score on Steam.

Primarily popular in Japan, North America, and Europe, where more than 90 percent of its sales are concentrated, Lies of P is a soulslike RPG set in the late 19th century, drawing inspiration from the story of "Pinocchio." The "soulslike" genre is known for its challenging gameplay and dark fantasy themes.

Kim Seung-chul, co-CEO of Neowiz, expressed pride in the achievement of the Lies of P project, acknowledging its challenging development and successful outcome. Currently, Lies of P is a nominee in the Best Visual Design category at the prestigious Golden Joystick Awards, with the winners set to be announced on Nov. 10.
