"Lovesick Girls" served as the lead track for Blackpink's inaugural full album, titled "The Album." Upon its release, the song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 59. The album itself attained high rankings on both the Billboard 200 chart and the UK's Official Albums Chart, securing the No. 2 position on both charts. It remained on the Billboard 200 chart for 10 consecutive weeks and on the UK Official Albums Chart for seven consecutive weeks.

Meanwhile, individually, the members of Blackpink have been making appearances at Paris Fashion Week. Jennie showcased an all-black ensemble for Chanel, while Rose wore a see-through goddess gown for Saint Laurent. Jisoo opted for a cute look with braided pigtails for Dior. Lisa, on the other hand, garnered attention at Louis Vuitton, leading to speculation about her future with Celine.
