Pace Gallery, which participated in Art Basel Hong Kong 2023, announced that they would support artist Yoo Yeong-guk (1916–2002) as its exclusive artist. He is Korea's first-generation modernist and first abstract artist.

Yoo Youngkuk is a pioneer of geometric abstract painting. During his nearly 70-year career, he started a number of important art groups in Japan and Korea. These groups paved the way for generations of avant-garde artists.
