Acemaker Movieworks Announces Release Date with Trailer and Cast Photos

The highly anticipated film "Wonderland" is scheduled to premiere in June after facing delays attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to its distributor, Acemaker Movieworks.

Directed by Kim Tae-yong, known for previous works such as "All for Love" (2005) and "Late Autumn" (2010), the sci-fi drama centers around a virtual platform service called Wonderland. This service creates virtual versions of deceased individuals through artificial intelligence, allowing users to reunite with and communicate with their late loved ones through video calls.

The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Bae Suzy, Park Bo-gum, Tang Wei, Choi Woo-shik, Jung Yu-mi, and Gong Yoo.

Bae Suzy and Park Bo-gum portray a young couple who utilize the service after Park's character falls into a coma. Tang Wei and Gong Yoo depict a married couple in their 40s, while Jung Yu-mi and Choi Woo-shik play the coordinators of the Wonderland service.

Filming for "Wonderland" concluded in 2020, with the film originally slated for release the following year. However, due to the pandemic and its impact on theaters, the release was indefinitely postponed.

Tang Wei and Park Bo-gum provided a glimpse of the film during the Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony last November while presenting an award. Tang Wei expressed anticipation for the love story between Bae Suzy and Park Bo-gum, suggesting that Park's appeal to female fans may increase following the film's release.

Park Bo-gum remarked on the film's readiness to meet audiences, describing it as a work that prompts contemplation of precious values.
