Forty students majoring in Korean language from Ratchaborikanukroh School in Thailand's Ratchaburi Province participated in an immersive cultural experience at the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) on November 14. The students traveled approximately 100 kilometers from their school location near Bangkok to engage with various aspects of Korean culture firsthand.

The Korean Cultural Center organized a comprehensive program specifically designed for these students, who typically have limited access to authentic Korean cultural experiences due to resource constraints. The centerpiece of their visit was a hands-on kimbap-making workshop, where students learned to prepare the traditional Korean rice roll dish. This culinary experience provided the students with practical exposure to Korean cuisine, which they rarely have the opportunity to experience in their regular academic environment.

Beyond the cooking workshop, the visiting students explored the K-Book Exhibition currently on display at the Cultural Center. This exhibition allowed them to discover Korean literature and publications, further enriching their understanding of Korean culture beyond language studies. The students also participated in traditional cultural activities that brought Korean customs to life in an interactive format.

The cultural immersion experience included opportunities for students to try on hanbok, Korea's traditional clothing, giving them a tangible connection to Korean heritage and customs. Additionally, the students engaged in traditional Korean games, which provided both entertainment and cultural education while fostering a deeper appreciation for Korea's recreational traditions.

The Korean Cultural Center expressed sincere hopes that this comprehensive field trip experience would significantly contribute to the students' Korean language learning journey. By combining practical cultural activities with educational content, the program aimed to enhance the students' motivation and understanding of the Korean language through direct cultural engagement and authentic experiences.
