Insooni, Park Mi-kyung, Shin Hyo-beom, and Lee Eun-mi, each with over 30 years of experience in the music industry, underwent a transformation by embracing choreography, attitudes, and fast-beat songs characteristic of their younger counterparts.
The group plans to showcase various performances in their concerts, incorporating duets, group performances, and individual acts that were featured on the program, presented in new arrangements.
While overseas concerts are still in the planning stage, the group made their international debut at the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival in Saitama, Japan, on Dec. 9, 2023. Their performance alongside younger K-pop artists in front of 35,000 audiences received positive responses, hinting at the potential for successful overseas ventures.
Despite being labeled as a "middle-aged newbie K-pop group," Golden Girls is anticipated to continue performing together even after the TV show concludes. At a showcase event in Seoul on Nov. 23, 2023, Park Jin-young expressed his desire for a Golden Girls concert, stating, "My dream is to see (Golden Girls') concerts sell out." Yang Hyuk, the show's producer, also hinted at the possibility of a second season.
