The Glaz International Photography and Image Biennial is returning for its second edition, scheduled to run from October 17, 2025, to January 4, 2026. This year's festival will explore the compelling theme "Acts of Love and Rebellion," bringing together a comprehensive showcase of contemporary photography from around the world.

The ambitious festival will feature an extensive program consisting of 33 exhibitions spread across 32 different venues, showcasing the work of 63 artists from various backgrounds and career stages. The event will take place in Rennes and throughout the Brittany region of France, establishing itself as a significant cultural destination for photography enthusiasts and art lovers.

GLAZ Festival has positioned itself with a clear mission to champion photography as a powerful means of expression and artistic creation. The festival's programming philosophy centers on supporting and promoting personal and socially engaged artistic photography that challenges conventional perspectives and encourages critical thinking about contemporary issues.

"We defend and promote a personal and committed artistic photography, combining exhibitions of internationally renowned artists and emerging artists, which questions, decodes and analyzes the world and human behaviors," explained Jean-Christophe Godet, the festival's artistic director. This approach reflects the organization's commitment to creating a platform that bridges established and emerging talent while addressing pressing social and cultural themes.

The festival organizers have designed the program with accessibility in mind, aiming to create exhibitions that will captivate audiences through both their approachable presentation and the profound emotions and reflections they inspire. This dual focus on accessibility and depth demonstrates the festival's commitment to reaching diverse audiences while maintaining artistic integrity and intellectual rigor.

The second edition of the International Photography Encounters, officially titled "Acts of Love and Rebellion," promises to offer visitors a thought-provoking journey through contemporary photography that examines human nature and social dynamics.
