Lisa of Blackpink has entered into a partnership with RCA Records, an American record label under Sony Music Entertainment, as confirmed by Sony Music Entertainment Korea on Thursday. The collaboration aims to facilitate the preparation and promotion of a solo album for Lisa's global audience.

In a press statement, Lisa expressed her enthusiasm about joining the RCA family and her confidence in their ability to propel her solo career forward. RCA chairman and CEO Peter Edge, along with COO John Fleckenstein, echoed this sentiment, praising Lisa as a multidimensional talent and a significant global presence.

Under the partnership, Lisa will retain full ownership of all recordings released through RCA Records. This move follows Lisa's solo debut in September 2021 with her single "Lalisa," which garnered significant commercial success, selling approximately 750,000 copies in its debut week.

With a staggering Instagram following of approximately 102 million, Lisa holds the title of the K-pop artist with the largest social media presence. Additionally, Lisa is slated to expand her career into acting, with an upcoming role in HBO's drama series "The White Lotus Season 3."

Earlier this February, Lisa established her own label, Lloud, reflecting her vision for music and entertainment. While Lisa and her fellow Blackpink members have renewed their exclusive contract with YG Entertainment for group activities, individual endeavors will now be pursued independently.
