Franck Martin has opened a new large-scale gallery at 25 rue de la République, located in the downtown core of Châteaudun, France. The venture represents an expansion of his successful artistic endeavors into a more prominent urban location.
Following the success of his rural gallery "La petite fabrique à émotions" (The Little Factory of Emotions) in Orgères-en-Beauce, Martin decided to replicate the experience in a larger space within Châteaudun's city center. The new venue builds upon the proven model that brought significant success to his previous rural location.
The new establishment, called Art Factory, operates as an associative gallery with a clear mission statement. "Its mission remains the same, which is to primarily promote artists from Eure-et-Loir and the Centre-Val de Loire region, while not forgetting artist friends who come from elsewhere," Martin explained. The gallery maintains its commitment to supporting both local and regional talent while remaining open to artists from other areas.
The inaugural exhibition will feature approximately fifteen artists representing various artistic disciplines. The opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, December 4th at 6:00 PM, marking the official launch of the new gallery space. This diverse showcase will demonstrate the range of artistic talent the gallery plans to support.
The gallery's programming includes both permanent resident artists and invited guest artists, including sculptors Yvon Cochery and Anne Boisaubert. Additional initiatives are currently under consideration, including a collaboration with Lecap de Brou (Leisure, Together, Culture, Art and Heritage) for an event featuring unique artists scheduled for May 2026. Martin continues to develop innovative ideas to energize the local art scene and create new opportunities for artistic expression in the region.
