Blackpink’s Jennie is preparing for a solo comeback in October, marking her return to the global music scene with a new single. OA Entertainment, Jennie’s agency, confirmed on Monday that the artist has partnered with Columbia Records, a prestigious American record label under Sony Music Entertainment, to release her upcoming track. Columbia Records is known for representing some of the world’s biggest pop stars, including Beyoncé, Adele, and Harry Styles, highlighting Jennie’s growing international prominence.

This release will be Jennie’s first solo endeavor since her special single “You & Me,” which dropped in October of last year. Jennie also collaborated with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp on the track “One Of The Girls” during the same period, a song that reached over 1 billion streams on Spotify and stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for an impressive 20 consecutive weeks. This feat made Jennie the first female Korean solo artist to receive a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Jennie continues to set records, as her debut solo single “Solo” surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube in April, making her the first K-pop female soloist to achieve this milestone. With her return now supported by a major global label like Columbia Records, expectations are high for Jennie’s October comeback, as fans eagerly await her next musical chapter.
