South Korean music group TWS has made waves in Japan, clinching the top spot on major music charts with their debut single, "Last Bell." This accomplishment cements their status as one of the most promising rising stars in the global music scene.

According to Japan's Oricon chart, released on the 10th (for the week ending December 16), "Last Bell" achieved first place on the weekly single rankings, selling approximately 74,000 copies during the tracking period (December 2–8). This remarkable feat not only highlights the group's growing influence but also demonstrates the strength of their overseas fanbase.

Japanese media outlets have also been quick to spotlight TWS's success. The group’s Oricon chart-topping performance was covered by Fuji TV's morning show, "Mezamashi TV" (めざましテレビ), reflecting the enthusiasm and interest of local audiences. The recognition further underscores TWS's rising status in the Japanese music market.

In addition to their Oricon triumph, TWS claimed the top spot on Billboard Japan's Top Single Sales chart for the week ending December 11, based on sales data from the same period. This double achievement is especially notable as it comes before their official debut in Japan, showcasing the group's undeniable potential.

TWS's rise has been marked by steady progress. Their first and second mini-albums previously charted at No. 3 and No. 2, respectively, on Oricon's weekly album rankings during their debut weeks. With "Last Bell," they have reached the summit of the weekly singles chart for the first time, marking a significant milestone in their career.

The group has also actively engaged with local audiences through high-profile appearances. They recently performed on Japan's year-end music programs, including "Best Hit Song Festival 2024" and "2024 FNS Music Festival" (2024 FNS歌謡祭), delivering energetic "power-refreshing" performances that captivated viewers.

In South Korea, TWS has been sweeping rookie awards at major music awards shows, further solidifying their reputation as a breakout act. Their title track "Last Celebration" (마지막 축제) continues to dominate year-end promotions, underscoring their successful dual-market strategy.

TWS’s rapid ascent on Japan’s charts dynamic performances and growing fanbase signal their bright future in the global music scene. With momentum building on multiple fronts, they are poised to become a major player in the international music industry.
