SEVENTEEN Makes History as the First K-pop Act to Perform on Disney's Holiday Special

SEVENTEEN is set to make history as the first K-pop group to perform on The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular. U.S. broadcaster ABC confirmed on November 20 (local time) that the globally celebrated group will grace the stage of the highly anticipated annual event, airing December 1.

SEVENTEEN will perform a festive rendition of Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, showcasing their signature energy and charm. Sharing the lineup with icons like Elton John, John Legend, and Pentatonix, the group’s inclusion highlights their growing prominence in the North American music scene.

The show, hosted by Dancing with the Stars co-hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro, is celebrating its ninth year. Known for featuring world-class artists such as Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, David Foster, Andrea Bocelli, and Kelly Clarkson in past editions, The Wonderful World of Disney is one of the most prestigious holiday specials on U.S. television.

SEVENTEEN’s participation marks a significant milestone, both for the group and K-pop at large. It not only reflects their global appeal but also cements their status as cultural ambassadors capable of bridging musical and cultural boundaries.

This announcement comes on the heels of SEVENTEEN’s successful North American tour, SEVENTEEN: RIGHT HERE, which saw the group perform 10 shows across five U.S. cities. Adding to the group’s packed schedule, SEVENTEEN will release their fourth Japanese single, Shohikigen, on November 27. Shortly after, they will embark on a dome tour, beginning with performances at Vantelin Dome Nagoya on November 29 and 30.
