K-pop boy group Zerobaseone has made history by simultaneously topping Oricon’s Weekly DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and Music DVD/Blu-ray Disc rankings with their latest concert footage, as announced by their agency, WakeOne Entertainment, on Thursday. This marks the first time an international artist has achieved this triple crown on Oricon’s video charts.
The concert footage, available in both Blu-ray and DVD formats, captures the group’s inaugural fan concert held in March at Yokohama’s K-Arena. During this event, the nine-member ensemble performed 11 tracks, including their Japanese debut single, “Yurayura - Unmei no Hana.” The single garnered significant attention, selling over 500,000 copies in its first week and securing the top position on Oricon’s Weekly, Weekly Combined, and Monthly Single Rankings.
Zerobaseone’s rapid ascent in the Japanese music scene is noteworthy. Their debut single not only achieved impressive sales but also set a new record for first-week sales by a foreign artist’s debut single in Japan.
Looking ahead, the group is set to embark on their first overseas tour, “Timeless World,” commencing on November 29 in Aichi, Japan. This tour will further solidify their presence in the international music arena.
Zerobaseone’s achievements underscore the growing influence of K-pop artists in global markets, particularly in Japan, where they continue to break records and garner widespread acclaim.
