YG Entertainment’s latest girl group, BABYMONSTER, is cementing their presence in the Japanese music scene with high-profile appearances on major TV shows and record-breaking performances. On November 29, the group will perform their debut album’s title track, DRIP, live on TV Asahi’s Music Station (M-Ste), a program that has showcased top Japanese and global artists for over 38 years.

BABYMONSTER previously impressed audiences with their explosive live performance of SHEESH on M-Ste during their BABYMONS7ER album promotion. Their return, featuring an upgraded performance of DRIP in Korean, is highly anticipated and expected to captivate local fans. The group will also appear on NHK’s Venue101 on November 30 and Fuji TV’s Weekly Nainai Music on December 11, further solidifying their footprint in Japan with a comprehensive promotional tour.

Their first full-length album, DRIP, has already achieved remarkable success in Japan. Upon release, it topped the iTunes Japan Top Albums chart and the Line Music Album Top 100 Real-Time Chart. Additionally, the album ranked high on major platforms like Oricon and Billboard Japan, reflecting the group’s growing influence.

Complementing their chart performance, BABYMONSTER’s DRIP pop-up stores in Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Fukuoka have been drawing massive crowds, underscoring the group’s popularity. The excitement extends to their recently announced 2025 debut world tour, with four Japanese cities—Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka—already confirmed as tour stops.

BABYMONSTER’s influence is not confined to Japan. Since the release of DRIP on November 1, the group has steadily climbed domestic charts like Melon TOP100, showcasing their dual success in both local and international markets. Riding the momentum, they plan to engage fans further with their follow-up track, Love In My Heart, as they continue promotions through the year’s end.

The group’s rapid ascent is a testament to their talent and the strategic efforts of YG Entertainment. Their live performances, consistently delivered with raw energy and precision, have earned them the moniker “monster rookies.” The seamless blend of strong vocals, dynamic choreography, and engaging stage presence has set them apart as a force to watch in the global music scene.

Their upcoming appearances on Japan’s prestigious music programs and the overwhelming response to their promotions highlight their potential to dominate not only the Japanese market but also the broader international stage. BABYMONSTER’s journey is a story of rapid growth, global appeal, and unrelenting ambition.
