IVE, one of South Korea's leading idol groups, has joined forces with world-renowned French producer and DJ David Guetta to release the new single "Supernova Love," poised to capture the hearts of global music fans with its unique sound and powerful allure.
On November 4, IVE shared a "Supernova Love" teaser on their official social media channels, raising excitement among fans. The brief clip showcased an addictive melody paired with IVE's signature vocals, drawing significant attention. This collaboration with David Guetta, known for popularizing the EDM genre worldwide, has heightened anticipation due to its musical depth and refined production.
“Supernova Love” samples the iconic melody from “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence” by Japanese musical legend Ryuichi Sakamoto, setting a high standard of musical excellence. By blending the emotional depth of the original with contemporary EDM sounds, the song promises a fresh yet familiar allure. A representative stated, “IVE has brought their distinct style to create an addictive and innovative sound, showcasing their musical growth once again."
The release is part of "The Collab X" project, spearheaded by KDM Records, which aims to bridge Eastern and Western musical excellence. As the project's inaugural artist, IVE’s participation highlights the global appeal of KDM's vision. KDM Records remarked, "Through this project, fans worldwide will experience a new musical horizon that transcends cultures."
Earlier this year, IVE completed their first world tour, spanning 28 cities and 37 performances, winning accolades for their live performances, notably at the U.S. "Lollapalooza" festival. Their collaboration with David Guetta is expected to cement their global standing and musical prowess further.
