K-pop veteran girl group Apink is set to hold its seventh stand-alone concert in Seoul on December 21-22, according to a report by local media on Thursday. The event, confirmed by the group’s agency, Choi Creative Lab, is expected to be a special year-end gift to fans, marking the group's first full-member performance in four years.
The upcoming concert holds particular significance as it will be the first show since the group reorganized into a five-member act following Son Naeun's departure in 2022. Naeun left the group to focus on her acting career after missing the celebration of Apink’s 10th debut anniversary. Since then, the remaining members—Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, Kim Namjoo, Oh Hayoung, and Jung Eunji—have continued their activities as a quintet.
Apink's management transition last year also marked a turning point. Except for Jung Eunji, all members left IST Entertainment, the agency they had been with since debuting in 2011, and signed with Choi Creative Lab. This December concert will be their first major live performance as a fully restructured team under their new agency.
Apink has remained a beloved and influential group in the K-pop scene since their debut over a decade ago. Known for their sweet, catchy hits and consistent presence in the industry, the group has built a loyal fanbase, known as Pink Pandas. In April, Apink released the single "Wait Me There," a heartfelt dedication to fans in celebration of their 13-year music career, further cementing their deep connection with their supporters.
The December concert is not only a special holiday treat for fans but also a celebration of the group's enduring presence in the K-pop world. The event promises to be an emotional reunion for both the members and their fans, given the long wait since their last full-group concert. With a career spanning more than a decade, Apink has continuously evolved while maintaining their original charm, making this concert a highly anticipated event in the K-pop community.
Fans can expect a mix of classic hits, new tracks, and perhaps some festive surprises during the concert, as Apink has been known to engage their audience with well-curated performances and personal moments. The group's chemistry, honed over years of working together, is likely to be a highlight of the show.
As Apink prepares for this major event, anticipation is building among fans, who are eager to see the group perform as a unit again. This concert marks a new chapter for the group as they continue to solidify their legacy in the ever-competitive K-pop industry.
