Billboard lauded the track, stating, "J-Hope’s rapping blends seamlessly with Miguel’s signature vocals, creating a dreamy groove." The publication further highlighted his artistic growth, emphasizing that "J-Hope continues his genre-crossing musical journey, expanding the meaning of his solo discography."

Consequence of Sound also noted the shift in his musical direction, describing Sweet Dreams as a departure from the rock-inspired sound of his first solo album. I always strive to maintain a strong sense of responsibility."

As anticipation builds for his upcoming North American tour, J-Hope expressed his excitement, describing it as "a tour that showcases every facet of myself." He added, "This stage will serve as a window into my entire being."

Meanwhile, J-Hope is set to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 11 at 12:35 PM KST.
