SM Entertainment's "SMTOWN Live 2024" Marks 20th Edition with Two-Day Celebration at Tokyo Dome

Agencywide Concert Draws 100,000 Fans, Showcasing Iconic Acts and Debut of NCT Wish

SM Entertainment's "SMTOWN Live 2024" concert, celebrating its 20th edition since inception in 2008, brought together a crowd of 100,000 concertgoers at Japan's Tokyo Dome on Wednesday and Thursday.

Titled "SMTOWN Live 2024 SMCU Palace @Tokyo," the event featured a lineup of SM Entertainment's prominent and emerging stars, including Kangta, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, aespa, Riize, and the newly-debuted boy band NCT Wish.

The four-hour concert was broadcasted on KNTV and live-streamed in 80 theaters across Japan. Additionally, the second-day concert was made available on the fan community app Weverse and the online concert platform Beyond LIVE.

Throughout the event, the groups showcased their well-known hits and engaged in special collaborative stages. Notable collaborations included performances by TVXQ and Riize, Super Junior and NCT Wish, Kangta and NCT's Doyoung, Super Junior's Ryeowook and Riize's Wish, among others.

NCT Wish seized the opportunity to debut their track "Wish" for the first time during the concert, following their official debut on February 21. In a related development, SM Entertainment's virtual singer, naevis (officially spelt nævis), teased its upcoming debut, adding to the anticipation within the entertainment community.
