In a Bundesliga match on Saturday, Jeong Woo-yeong scored his inaugural goal for VfB Stuttgart, contributing to their 3-1 triumph over Bayern Munich.
The match, held at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart, Germany, witnessed a Korean derby as Jeong's Stuttgart hosted Bayern on their home turf.
The score was tied at 1-1 following an opener by Stuttgart midfielder Leonidas Stergiou in the 29th minute and a subsequent penalty conversion by Bayern forward Harry Kane in the 37th minute.
Jeong, appearing as a substitute in the 72nd minute, headed in the decisive goal in the 83rd minute, with Stuttgart's Silas sealing the victory with another goal in stoppage time.

Despite limited playing time at both Freiburg and Stuttgart, Jeong has accumulated 20 caps and four goals for the Korean national team.
Jeong's career at Stuttgart remains evolving, with the midfielder primarily deployed as a substitute in the 2023-24 season, tallying one goal and two assists. Notably, he played the full 90 minutes only twice this season.
Jeong benefits from mandatory military service exemption due to his gold medal win at the Hangzhou Asian Games last year.
Stuttgart's victory on Saturday narrowed the points difference with second-place Bayern to two points, with two league matches remaining for both teams. However, neither team is in contention for the 2023-24 Bundesliga title, as Bayer 04 Leverkusen secured the title last month, marking their first league championship in history.
Stuttgart will next face Augsburg on May 10, while Bayern will travel to Spain to compete against Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semifinals on May 8, following a 2-2 draw in the first leg. A loss in the second leg would result in a trophyless season for Bayern, who clinched their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title last year.
