A passionate art collector is showcasing his extensive Salvador Dalí collection at a hotel in Toulouse, France, bringing the Spanish surrealist master's work to a city the artist never visited during his lifetime. Mickaël Mamou, a 56-year-old businessman, has assembled the exhibition to honor one of art history's most iconic figures.

"Salvador Dalí never came to Toulouse, so with this exhibition, I'm fixing this injustice," Mamou said with a laugh. The collector has been acquiring works by the Catalan artist for more than three decades, building his impressive collection through purchases from fellow art enthusiasts and collectors.

Mamou, who works in international commerce and serves as president of the company MixArt, has dedicated significant time and resources to assembling his Dalí treasures. His long-standing passion for the surrealist master has resulted in a comprehensive collection that spans various periods of the artist's prolific career.

The exhibition represents a unique opportunity for Toulouse residents and visitors to experience Dalí's artistic genius in an intimate hotel setting. By bringing these carefully curated works to the French city, Mamou is fulfilling his personal mission to share the artist's legacy with a broader audience in a location that Dalí himself never had the chance to visit.
