Les Filles de la Photo Launches CURATION Fashion Capsule Initiative to Support Emerging Photographers

Sayart / Oct 29, 2025

Les Filles de la Photo, with support from fashion brand Maje, has announced the launch of CURATION Fashion Capsule, a groundbreaking national initiative designed to discover and promote professional photographers whose work explores fashion through a unique and contemporary perspective that goes beyond traditional stereotypes. This capsule edition will highlight three distinct creative universes: Fashion/Beauty/Lifestyle, Art/Concept (particularly editorial work), and Craftsmanship/Documentary photography.

Open nationwide, CURATION Fashion Capsule aims to facilitate connections between photographers and image experts from the fashion and cultural worlds, including exhibition curators, gallery professionals, stylists, press representatives, art buyers, publishers, photographer representatives, and artistic directors. These exchanges, organized both online and in-person, will allow photographers to present their work and benefit from professional feedback and guidance.

Following the comprehensive review process, curators will select six photographers based on the strength of their vision and the quality of their artistic approach. These talented individuals will be featured and celebrated on the social media platforms of both Les Filles de la Photo and Maje, the initiative's sponsor, demonstrating the brand's commitment to supporting emerging creativity and the diversity of artistic perspectives in contemporary photography.

The timeline for the initiative is structured as follows: photographers can submit their applications on the Les Filles de la Photo website until October 30, 2025. In early November 2025, the selection of photographers will be completed and curators will make initial contact with chosen candidates. From November 5 to 21, 2025, meetings between photographers and curators will take place. During the week of November 24, 2025, the final winners list featuring the six distinguished photographers will be published.

"By creating bridges between photographers, curators, and fashion industry players, we support a vibrant photography scene that is rooted in its era and open to multiple expressions," said Karin Hémar, co-president of Les Filles de la Photo. Judith Milgrom, founder and artistic director of Maje, added, "At Maje, we believe in the creative power of women. By supporting emerging photography, we continue our commitment to making women more free and powerful."

Les Filles de la Photo is a network of photography and culture professionals that serves as both an action space and idea laboratory, committed to recognizing professions, artists, and contemporary photographic creation.
