YG Entertainment disclosed on Monday that Babymonster's debut EP achieved remarkable sales figures, surpassing 40,000 copies within its first week of release, setting a new record for a debut album from a K-pop girl group.
Released on April 1, the EP, titled after the group, quickly ascended to the top of the iTunes Top Albums chart in eight regions. Its lead track, "Sheesh," made an impressive debut at No. 69 on Spotify’s daily top song global chart, marking the highest position for a K-pop girl group in the current year.

Celebrating their official debut, Babymonster opened a pop-up store in Seoul, attracting approximately 2,000 visitors over the course of two days.
Although the group released the single "Batter Up" in November of the previous year, the EP marks their first collective release as a full group, including member Ahyun, who did not participate in the debut single.
