In his 300th Premier League match, Son Heung-min scored his 17th goal of the season as Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 4-2 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield in Liverpool, England.

Son's goal, scored in the 77th minute, brought Tottenham within two goals after conceding four within the first hour of the match.

With this goal, Son reached a total of 120 Premier League goals, tying with Steven Gerrard for 22nd place on the all-time list. He is one goal behind Raheem Sterling of Chelsea.

Son's consistent performance against Liverpool was noted, as he became only the second player, after Jamie Vardy, to score in five consecutive matches against the team.

Despite Son's efforts, Tottenham remains in fifth place with 60 points, trailing seven points behind Aston Villa with one match in hand.

Son expressed determination despite the setback, stating, "In football, sometimes magical things can happen. We keep believing in our game."

Tottenham's chances for a top-four finish and qualification for the UEFA Champions League next season hinge on winning their remaining three matches and hoping for favorable outcomes from Aston Villa's remaining fixtures.

Spurs will conclude their season with matches against Burnley, Manchester City, and Sheffield United.
