Jagiellonian University in Poland is organizing a comprehensive Korean Culture Day event that will offer participants an immersive experience in Korean traditions, language, and interactive activities. The special cultural program is scheduled for Friday, October 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the university's Institute of Near and Far East.

The event will take place at ul. Oleandry 2a, Room 3.04 (Instytut Bliskiego i Dalekiego Wschodu, Aula 3.04), providing an intimate setting for cultural exchange and learning. The program has been carefully designed to showcase different aspects of Korean heritage through educational presentations and hands-on activities.

The afternoon will begin at 4:00 PM with an informative lecture on Chuseok, Korea's traditional Thanksgiving holiday, presented by Nikola Ożóg. This presentation will explore the significance of one of Korea's most important cultural celebrations, providing insights into traditional customs, food, and family practices associated with this harvest festival.

Following the Chuseok presentation, at 4:30 PM, attendees will participate in a lecture on Hangul, the Korean writing system, delivered by Martyna Zboch. This session will introduce participants to the unique Korean alphabet, its historical development, and its significance in Korean culture and communication.

The final segment of the program, starting at 5:00 PM, will feature interactive traditional Korean games led by students from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. This hands-on portion will allow participants to engage directly with Korean culture through play, creating an opportunity for cultural exchange between Polish and Korean students.

The event represents part of the broader Korean Cultural Center activities abroad, aimed at promoting Korean culture and fostering international understanding. Organizers encourage all interested individuals to attend this memorable cultural experience that combines education with entertainment in exploring Korea's rich heritage.
