Magical Snoopy Sculpture Trail to Wind Through Central London This Christmas Season

Sayart / Oct 28, 2025

A specially curated trail featuring twelve uniquely designed Snoopy sculptures will be displayed throughout the Fleet Street Quarter this holiday season, offering Londoners a free artistic experience to celebrate the beloved beagle's 75th anniversary. The installation will be available for public viewing from November 19 through January 16, marking three-quarters of a century since Snoopy first appeared in the Peanuts comic strip.

The sculpture trail has been developed in partnership with Wild in Art, an organization renowned for creating public art installations throughout London's streets. Each of the twelve sculptures features a different artist's interpretation of the iconic cartoon character positioned on his famous red doghouse, showcasing diverse creative visions of the world-renowned beagle. The installation will be accompanied by a custom audio soundtrack to enhance visitors' experience as they discover each sculpture.

Notable participating artists include Becky Smith, a social media sensation, and Fran Preston-Gannon, an award-winning children's author. These artists, along with ten others, have contributed their individual artistic interpretations to bring fresh perspectives to the classic character. The diverse range of artistic styles promises to offer something unique for every visitor exploring the trail.

The Fleet Street Quarter location holds particular significance for this celebration, as Fleet Street represents the historic heart of the United Kingdom's newspaper industry and comic strip culture. This connection creates a meaningful bridge between past and present, bringing the legendary cartoon character back to the very streets where Peanuts was printed for many years. The installation celebrates both the comic strip's milestone anniversary and the area's rich storytelling heritage.

The sculpture trail's launch will coincide with the area's Christmas light switch-on ceremony. Fleet Street Quarter's Ludgate Circus will be illuminated on November 19, with a special sparkling switch-on event marking the beginning of both the holiday season and the Snoopy installation.

Lady Lucy French, CEO of Fleet Street Quarter BID, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the installation. "We're delighted to welcome Snoopy to the area, to help celebrate this landmark anniversary," she stated. "It's a privilege to be the first host location for these new sculptures. The trail is such a joyful way to celebrate this much-loved character through the vision of twelve talented artistic interpretations, inviting readers and fans to explore the Quarter's hidden corners and see our streets in a new light."

The free-to-visit art trail encourages exploration of the Fleet Street Quarter's lesser-known areas, allowing participants to discover both the sculptures and the historic neighborhood's hidden gems. Organizers plan to release additional details about the trail closer to the launch date, providing visitors with comprehensive information for planning their sculpture-hunting adventure during the festive season.
