Design has found its home. The first edition of Cultured Magazine at Home, organized in partnership with Design Miami, established the Hotel de Maisons in Saint-Germain-des-Prés as the most dazzling showcase of art week, a place where collecting, aesthetics, and natural sophistication blend without compromise.
From October 22 to 26, running parallel to Art Basel Paris, the international collectible design fair welcomed a record number of over 25 galleries from around the world. The event transformed the historic spaces and gardens of the private mansion into a mosaic of visual, material, and conceptual narratives.
An exclusive dinner held in the elegant dining rooms of Le Meurice Alain Ducasse on Rue de Rivoli celebrated Cultured Magazine, led by Sarah Harrelson, in partnership with Design Miami, directed by Jen Roberts. In her welcome speech, Roberts thanked the fair for what she called a precious and obvious partnership.
The collaboration represented a meeting between two related forces: on one side, the platform that defines global codes of collectible design; on the other, the magazine that has long highlighted protagonists of contemporary culture with equal parts scholarship and irreverence. The dinner brought together personalities from the world of architecture, art, and design, including François Laffanour, Hervé Descottes, Jesse Lee, Paul Kanavos, Pascal Billard, and many others.
These prestigious guests were able to enjoy the various sections of the fair, notably Design at Large, the program that animated the courtyard and gardens with monumental sculptures and conceptual works. Design Miami.Paris remained true to its DNA by celebrating creativity as a universal language, where form becomes narrative and where luxury is never static but always in motion.
In a city built on sharing and dialogue, the collaboration between Design Miami and Cultured appeared brilliant, elegant, and slightly elusive, much like Paris itself. The event successfully demonstrated how contemporary design can transform historic spaces into dynamic cultural experiences, bridging the gap between traditional luxury hospitality and cutting-edge artistic expression.
