Bon Studio has completed Covva House, a distinctive residential project in Medellín, Colombia, that serves as a tribute to agape - the deep and selfless love that finds expression in pause, enjoyment, and connection with the essential. The 450-square-meter house, completed in 2024, represents a thoughtful approach to contemporary living that prioritizes meaningful human connections and moments of reflection.
Designed by architect Daniela Vélez Montoya, the project embodies a philosophy that goes beyond mere shelter to create spaces that foster genuine human interaction and contemplation. The design team at Bon Studio approached this residential commission with the intention of creating an environment where inhabitants can disconnect from the rush of daily life and reconnect with what truly matters.
The architectural concept centers around the Greek notion of agape, which represents unconditional love and deep affection. This philosophical foundation is translated into spatial arrangements that encourage gathering, quiet reflection, and appreciation of both indoor and outdoor environments. The house's layout and design elements work together to create a sanctuary where residents can experience moments of genuine pause and enjoyment.
