The prestigious Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is marking its remarkable 30th anniversary this year with an extensive celebration of international cinema. The festival will run from September 17-26, 2025, showcasing films across seven theaters featuring 31 screens, with the iconic Busan Cinema Center serving as the main venue.

This milestone edition of BIFF presents an impressive lineup of 241 officially invited works representing 64 countries around the world. When including films from the affiliate program Community BIFF, the total number of screenings expands to an extraordinary 328 films, making this one of the most comprehensive programs in the festival's three-decade history.

A significant new addition to this year's festival is the inaugural Busan Awards, which will be presented during the closing ceremony. These awards recognize excellence in five distinct categories: Best Film, Best Director, Special Jury Award, Best Actor, and Artistic Contribution. This marks a major development for BIFF as it establishes its own competitive awards program to honor outstanding cinematic achievements.

The festival will primarily take place at the state-of-the-art Busan Cinema Center, located at 120 Suyeonggangbyeon-daero in Haeundae-gu District, Busan. The venue is easily accessible via public transportation, with attendees able to reach the location through exits 6 or 12 of Centum City Station on Busan Metro Line 2.

For those interested in attending or seeking more information about the festival, organizers can be reached at 1666-9177. Complete details about the program, schedules, and ticketing information are available on the official BIFF website at https://www.biff.kr/kor/, which offers content in both Korean and English to accommodate international visitors and film enthusiasts from around the globe.
