Young Artists Create Sculptures in Tenth Annual Wipptalherz Children's Workshop

Sayart / Aug 12, 2025

Seventeen children from the Wipptal valley gathered at the picturesque Trinserhof for a creative sculpture-making workshop, marking the tenth anniversary of this beloved summer program. Artist Christian Yeti Beirer led the hands-on session as part of the Wipptalherz project, giving young participants aged seven to twelve the opportunity to explore their artistic talents under professional guidance.

The workshop took place on a beautiful Saturday with perfect summer weather, creating an ideal atmosphere for creativity and learning. The event was hosted at the stunning Trinserhof, where sisters Jessica and Jennifer Covi, known for their strong passion for the arts, provided an inspiring venue for the young artists to work.

During the sculpture workshop, children received a comprehensive introduction to sculpture techniques and the fundamental nature of three-dimensional art. Following this educational component, the enthusiastic participants created numerous small artworks using modeling clay, each piece reflecting their individual creativity and newly acquired skills.

The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Sternschnuppe association as part of the Wipptal Summer Express 2025 program, demonstrating the community's commitment to providing enriching cultural experiences for local children during their summer vacation.

The Wipptalherz project enjoys robust support from numerous local organizations and businesses that recognize the value of arts education for young people. Key sponsors include the Wipptal Tourism Board and its mountain valleys, the Wipptal Planning Association, and the Stubai-Wipptal District Newsletter. Additional financial backing comes from Parkhotel Matrei, Allianz Agency Martin Übergänger GmbH, AUER GmbH, Martin Steiner, and Gerätewerk Matrei.

Further support for this cultural initiative is provided by the Municipality of Matrei am Brenner, the Cultural Department of the State of Tyrol, and two prominent financial institutions: Raiffeisenbank Wipptal-Stubaital Mitte and Raiffeisenbank Matrei am Brenner. This extensive network of supporters ensures the sustainability and continued success of the Wipptalherz project in fostering artistic development among the region's youth.
