The Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong (KCCHK) is inviting food enthusiasts to participate in a unique Korean cooking workshop that celebrates the flavors of Korea's coastal cuisine. The special event, themed around seaside flavors, aims to bring the authentic taste of Korean beach culture directly to participants' kitchens during the summer season.

The workshop will focus on mastering two iconic dishes from Tongyeong, a picturesque coastal city located on Korea's southern shores. Participants will learn to prepare Chungmu-Gimbap with Tuna Mayo and traditional Korean Clam Soup, both dishes that perfectly capture the refreshing essence of Korean summer cuisine. These recipes represent the culinary heritage of one of Korea's most beloved seaside destinations.

Chef Choi Jun Woo from the renowned restaurant O'rm will lead the cooking class, providing professional guidance and sharing expert techniques with participants. The hands-on workshop is designed to deepen participants' understanding of Korean culinary traditions while developing practical cooking skills. The chef will demonstrate authentic preparation methods and share insights about the cultural significance of these coastal dishes.

The cooking class is scheduled for Saturday, August 30th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the K-Food Classroom located on the 6th floor of the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong. The workshop is offered free of charge to participants, making it an accessible opportunity for anyone interested in exploring Korean cuisine.

Due to limited space in the cooking facility, only 16 participants will be selected through a random drawing process. Interested individuals must submit their applications through the provided Google Forms link at https://forms.gle/fFbSiQeRVZJhBkEXA before the deadline of August 24th. Selected participants will receive confirmation messages by August 25th, and those who do not receive confirmation will understand that they were not chosen in the random selection.

For additional information about the workshop or to address any questions, interested parties can contact the Korean Cultural Center at kfoodkcchk.kr. This culinary event represents part of KCCHK's ongoing efforts to promote Korean culture and cuisine throughout Hong Kong, offering local residents the opportunity to experience authentic Korean flavors and cooking techniques.
